Lightmotif designs production solutions for micro and nano technology using ultrashort pulsed lasers. These new lasers can machine any material without detrimental effects due to heat input. Micromachining applications like drilling, cutting and milling can be performed, on materials like glass, ceramics, metals and polymers. Micro and nano texturing enables the functionalization of surfaces, like improved friction properties or super hydrophobic / hydrophilic surfaces. Lightmotif is leading in surface texturing by this new method and develops new applications in collaboration with customers. In both areas, micromachining and surface texturing, Lightmotif offers application development, in house production and semi custom production equipment for industrial use.
