Plateau clusters laboratories and research groups of Ghent University to unite their expertise in the development of innovative photonic solutions . Plateau represents more than 90 researchers active in a diversity of photonic technologies; enabling a multidisciplinary approach to industrial challenges. Key application areas include medicine and bio-sciences, optical communication, materials technology, manufacturing, environmental sensing, metrology, imaging and vision systems, automotive, process monitoring and control and many others.
Plateau facilitates knowledge transfer activities and research collaboration with industrial companies and research institutions, offering unparalleled expertise and access to leading-edge equipment. Collaboration takes shape as R&D contract research, licensing of IP, joint-ventures or other cooperative schemes.
