Healthcare

In the healthcare session we will show how optics contributes to medicine via new techniques for visualization, measurement and analysis, and manipulation of biological tissues and biological processes at different scales that ranges from macro to nano-levels. Tools developed for use in research have evolved into tools for patient treatment, and new and increasingly sophisticated research apparatus continues to emerge, improving our ability to study and control basic biological processes. The health session involves presentations on pain relief, forensic medicine and in-vivo photochemical measurements.
